Proton Saga SV
Proton just launched the cheapest car. Proton SAGA SV. SV stands for Super Value. I have read in some blog and news about this Proton. The deal looks ok.
Basically this model comes from FLX variant. Eventhough it's the cheapest, it doesn't mean it is getting more useless. From my reading, you'll derived everything from FLX model. But there's some minor thing has been slashed to differ from original spec.
The engine, suspension, airbags, etc that is for safety is same with the FLX. So Proton didn't sacrifice the safety features for their customer here. What I noticed you will have standard 13inch rim with realy thick tyre, no fog lamp, no exaust tailpipe and you only get standard audio system. I thinks it means you will get 2 speakers in the front.
But what makes it disappointed is this model doesn't suit with ABS. So sad. Hope Proton can consider this as their standard part for all Proton range. With and without ABS makes a huge different when you under emergency braking. For non experience, they will easily lock the tires and slides. At least with ABS, people can have chances to maneuver the car to avoid danger.
By the way, I think it is value for money. So there it is... Proton SV.

It doesn't come with front speakers too. I agree ABS is crucial.
